Overnight, Yad Sarah received thousands of inquiries, prompting a swift response of emergency assistance to the residents of Northern Israel.
Aid departments across the north are continuously being bolstered with supplies and volunteers. Equipment lending branches, including those at hospitals, will remain open in accordance with the directives of the Home Front Command. Branches without proper shelters to protect volunteers will be temporarily closed. Instead branches with shelters are prepared to serve the wider population with equipment and emergency services.
- Yad Sarah centers in Nahariya, Acre, Kiryat Bialik, Kiryat Tivon, Migdal HaEmek, Kiryat Ata, Hadera, and Pardes Hanna will operate as usual.
- In Haifa and Karmiel, branches operate at minimal capacity due to safety concerns.
- Tiberias and Poriya Hospital branches are unprotected and cannot receive visitors at this time.
- All other branches will be open according to Home Front Command instructions.
- The oxygen centers, particularly in the Haifa branch, are working at full capacity to deliver urgent respiratory equipment to those in need.
The Emergency Call Center has increased its staff of specially trained volunteers to assist during stressful situations, including heavy barrages. They engage in calming conversations with the elderly and sick registered to receive incoming calls during crises.
All other aid departments are operating as usual, focusing on quickly providing orthopedic equipment for those who need it to get to shelters and ensuring equipment for prolonged stays in secure areas is provided.
